Powerlifting Championship of Ukraine 2015

Powerlifting Championship of Ukraine 2015 among men and women was held from February 24 to February 27. It is one of the best competitions in the terms of holding level.
The Championship was held at Poltava City Culture Centre. The most important competitions of FPU attracted the best representatives of powerlifting in Ukraine.
Only the world champions of the last year – Larysa Soloviova, Olena Kozlova-Matusiak, Vadym Dovhaniuk – were released from the international competition qualification.
The winner in the weight class of 66 kg is the applicant of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of LNU Mykyta Sukhorutchenko (the city of Rubizhne, Luhansk region) with a result of 642.5 kg (250 + 162.5 + 230).
The competitions in the weight class of under 74 kg were full with new records. So the bronze winner of the European Championship, the student of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of LNU Mykola Barannyk (the city of Rubizhne, Luhansk region) added to his victory new records of the country in squatting, bench press and triathlon sum: 325.5 + 225.5 + 285 = 836. The bronze winner of the European Championship Irakli Mdivnishvili from Poltava is on the second place with a result of 807.5 kg.
A bronze winner of the Championship, a student of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of LNU Dmytro Semenenko set new record of Ukraine in squatting and became the Champion of Ukraine in the weight class of under 105 kg: 415 + 260 + 335 = 1010.
The all-around champion of Ukraine is a three-time world champion Oleksii Rokochyi from Donetsk region who won in the weight class of under 120 kg and set new records in squatting, bench press and triathlon sum 425 + 302.5 + 362.5 = 1090 (626.75). A bronze winner of the world championship Oleksii Bychkov (a student of Physical Education and Sports of LNU, Donetsk region) became a bronze winner of overall classification. He got the silver with the following results: 402.5 + 300.5 + 365 = 1068 (621.47).
