The University Administration Meeting

The scheduled meeting of the University Administration took place at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

Two main issues were on the agenda:

• the implementation of the decisions of the University Administration and prospects for the development of the Educational and Research Institute of Economy and Business;
• the approval of the work plan of the University Administration for the academic year 2017-2018.

Valerii P. Khmel made a report on the implementation of the decisions of the University Administration and prospects for the development of the Educational and Research Institute of Economy and Business. Having heard and discussed the report of the institute director, the University Administration noted that the directorate of the structural subdivision had taken measures to improve the teaching and upbringing process and increase the number of students.

Teachers and staff of the Institute conducted an active career guidance work. To achieve an effective result, information materials were posted on social networks and on the university’s website. In order to attract applicants from the territories that are beyond the control of the state authorities of Ukraine, the Institute actively cooperates with the educational center “Donbas-Ukraine”.

The reports of the teachers on the development of courses for the distance learning site, as well as on the work of tutors with students were heard at the departments.

The schedules of the educational process for students of full-time and part-time forms of education were developed. During the academic year 2016 – 2017, it is envisaged to use active methods of interaction between teachers and students, in particular online lectures.

The university’s website regularly updates information about the staffing of the departments, educational and methodological support, scientific and public activities of the institute’s teachers and students.

At the same time, the University Administration noted unresolved problems in the work of the Educational and Research Institute of Economy and Business, among which there is insufficient control of the final attestation of graduates by the Directorate.

Serhii Savchenko made a report on the approval of the work plan of the University Administration for the academic year 2017-2018. Having heard and discussed the report of the Rector of the University, the work plan of the University Administration for the academic year 2017-2018 was approved.
