Competitions at the ХХІХ Summer World Universiade

Ukrainian sportsmen have successfully started competitions at the ХХІХ Summer World Universiade, which now  is taking place in Taipei (PRC).

The men’s team in artistic gymnastics became the silver medalist of the competitions. Oleg Vernyaev, Ihor Radyvilov, Petro Pakhnyuk, Vladislav Hryko and Yevgen Yudenkov scored 257,900 points in the final of the team tournament, surpassing the Russians and losing only to athletes from Japan.

The student of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Evgen Yudenkov received a silver medal in the team event, took the sixth place in the individual competitions in the all-around.
