Webometrics announced an updated version of the World Ranking

Webometrics published the Ranking of Universities in July 2017.

The July edition of Webometrics Ranking of World Universities covers 11,992 universities and educational institutions from around the world. It included 330 educational institutions from Ukraine.

According to the Ranking, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took 40th place among the Ukrainian universities, 400th place among the higher educational institutions of Central and Eastern Europe, and 1411th place in the European Ranking. In addition, in the continental ranking our University took 3381st position, and in the world ranking – 5282nd.

Recall that Ranking Web of Universities determines the level of their presence on the Internet (indicators of site traffic and its design are not taken into account). The following indicators are taken into account: the number of pages in the university’s domain (all subdomains are taken into account) according to Google, Yahoo and Bing Search; The total number of unique external links received by the site, according to Yahoo Site Explorer; The number of files uploaded to it in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf), Adobe PostScript (.ps), Microsoft Word (.doc) and Microsoft Powerpoint (.ppt) formats, determined using Google, Yahoo and Bing; The total number of articles of the university scientists (scientific works included in Google Scholar (from 2006 to 2010) are taken into account, and articles published in world scientific publications (2004-2008) according to SIR Scimago calculations.
