Teacher Development Summer School with the support of British Council in Ukraine

Teachers of the Department of Romance-Germanic Philology of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University continue to improve their professional level during the summer holidays through specialized trainings organized by British Council in Ukraine.
Within the framework of the project “The English Language for Universities”, teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages took an active part in the Teacher Development Summer School (July 13-19, 2017, Kyiv) with the support of managers, mentors and trainers of British Council in Ukraine. The Summer School of Pedagogical Excellence was attended by representatives of 20 higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
Associate professor of the department K.V. Kireienko successfully introduced our university as a trainer of the course “CIVELT: Language of ESP”. With the beginning of a new academic year, the implementation of the advanced European experience of participants in the Summer School will begin in the course of training future specialists within the framework of the University. The certificates were received by: Head of the department of Romance-Germanic Philology S.O. Shekhavtsova (35-hour course “ESP Essentials” on the basics of teaching English for students of non-native specialties); Teachers of the Department of Romance-Germanic Philology M.V. Vieriemieieva and D.Yu. Hrunenko (42-hour course on the methodology of teaching the English language for professional orientation “CIVELT: Language of ESP”).
