Entrance Exams

On July 22, the entrance exams began at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

Only those categories of applicants, who were granted this right by the Rules of admission in 2017, participate in the entrance exams. Among them are participants of military operations, who defended and continue to defend the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, participate in the antiterrorist operation and ensure the conduct.

The strong and friendly relations have developed at the university with different parts of the military, dating back to 2014. Now we remember together:

“When we were just evacuated and seen, we communicated with you, the conviction that the enemy will not pass to Starobilsk district and we can work, and the belief that sooner or later the victory will be for Ukraine settled in the soul,” – the teachers say.

“When we came to the University and got acquainted with the teachers and students, we felt their boundless patriotism and love for Ukraine, we realized that we were not risking our lives in vain,” – the defenders answer.

The University has become the second home for our defenders: almost every day they go to visit, meet with students, and talk about their small Motherland, traditions and customs.

Representing western regions of Ukraine, servicemen take part in all the educational and scientific events of the university, debunking the myths about the “polarity” of the East and West of Ukraine, educating the students respectful and tolerant attitude to the diversity of cultural traditions in Ukraine, forming a positive image of the defender of the Motherland; demonstrating an example of courage, perseverance, love of the Motherland, high moral qualities.

That is why many defenders of Ukraine expressed a desire to enter the University. Also they take into account the high reputation, powerful educational and scientific potential, courage and perseverance of the University during the Russian aggression.

Higher education for servicemen is not only a confident future, but also a means of preventing or eliminating negative psychological conditions, personal deformations that can develop in them due to the constant presence in the atmosphere of excessive safety, secrecy and the regime of vital activity.

Together we are convinced that only highly educated people with a formed scientific worldview, creative thinking, the ability to make quick decisions in non-standard situations will be able to build a new Ukraine. People who have proved their loyalty to the Motherland in the struggle for its independence. This is, first of all, the participants in the fighting and the ATO.

Thank you for your heroic contribution to standing for Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence. For all of us, teachers and students, you are a vivid example of courage, fortitude, love for the Motherland, high moral qualities. We believe that with such an army the victory will necessarily be for Ukraine!
