“Violence has no justification”

A student of LTSNU took part in the race “Violence has no justification”.
On June 30, a race within the information campaign “Violence has no justification” took place in the city of Severodonetsk. The goal of the campaign and the race was the formation of a culture of zero tolerance for violence, as well as increasing the confidence in policemen, who in many cases are among the first to come to the aid of the victims.
Young people, students, visitors of sports sections, members of the regional Coordination Council, public organizations and simply not indifferent inhabitants from different cities of Luhansk region including Severodonetsk, Rubizhne, Kreminna and Starobilsk districts joined the race.
The event was joined by the chairman of the student self-government of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Yaroslav Chepel, who represented the city of Starobilsk.
With the slogan “Violence has no justification,” the participants of the race overcame a distance of 1.5 km. The organizers of the event were the UN Women and the ICF “Ukrainian Foundation of Public Health” within the framework of the information campaign “Violence has no justification”, which is implemented within the framework of the joint UN Women and UNDP project “Restoration of governance and promoting reconciliation in crisis-affected communities of Ukraine”.
