In memory of the dead fighters
29.6.2017
On June 27, the Academic Council meeting began with a minute of silence in memory of the dead fighters – Oleksii Ischuk and Vasyl Lavrys, who, defending the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, were killed while performing military duty in Luhansk region.
They dreamed of becoming psychologists, helping people, building a new, independent, prosperous country … In their honor on June 29 was planned a concert at the University …
However, enemy weapons cut short the young lives full of dreams and hopes.
The death of our military is an unheard of loss for the family, friends, native people; pain of the whole Ukrainian people.
The war, the loss of our compatriots in the 21st century is nonsense, a serious crime and sin committed by the criminal power of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and humanity.
The administration, teachers and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University express their deep condolences to the families, relatives and fellows of the deceased heroes.
We are convinced that the crimes of the Russian Federation and the bandits against the Ukrainian people will not go unpunished. The Ukrainian army will defeat the enemy and become a national pride, a guarantor of the security and sovereignty of our Motherland!
Heroes do not die!
