LNU Student Won a Slot on the Ukrainian National Team

According to the results of indoor Athletic Winter Cup – 2015 LNU student has won a slot on the Ukrainian national team.
The students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of “Physical Education” training direction took part in the indoor Athletic Winter Cup of Ukraine – 2015 which was held in Kiev. According to the competition results on February 24 the Executive Committee of Ukrainian Athletic Federation approved the Ukrainian national team for the indoor European Championship (March 5 – 8, the City of Prague, Czech Republic).
The sportsmen of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University won the Winter Cup: Serhii Kopanaiko – 60 m hurdles (7.77 s), Hanna Shelekh – pole vaulting (4.40 cm), Nataliia Strohova – 60 m hurdles (7.40 s).
“For many sportsmen this start is the last chance to make the normative of Ukrainian Athletic Federation to win a slot on the Ukrainian national team”, – admitted the participants.
So, the Ukrainian national team consists of 25 athletes (11 men and 14 women) including the magistrand Serhii Kopanaiko – the IPES student.
