New sports awards

Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports received new sports awards.

Recently “Ukraine International Cup” artistic gymnastics tournament took place in Kyiv. The second-year student majoring in “Physical education” Yevgen Yudenkov confidently performed all kinds of all-around exercises, became the winner and received the Cup of Ukraine 2017. Also, the representative of our University Eduard Ermakov became the bronze medalist in all-round events, and in some types he won 2 more silver medals in rings and parallel bars.

Simultaneously with the Cup of Ukraine, the 13th Summer Universiade of Ukraine in artistic gymnastics was held. Our students Evgen Yudenkov, Eduard Ermakov, Vladislav Kotsyuban and Oleksii Robu represented our University and won the second place in the team classification, losing only to the Kyiv National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine.

In the individual competition, Yevgen Yudenkov became the absolute champion of the Universiade and Eduard Ermakov received a silver award in all-around.

In some types of competitions, Yevgen Yudenkov received a gold award in parallel bars, 3 silver medals (in floor exercises, rings and high bar), as well as a bronze medal in vault exercises.

Eduard Ermakov received a silver medal in parallel bars and a bronze medal in rings.

Also the gymnast from our University Vladislav Kotsyuban received the silver medal in vault.

In general, at the XIII Summer Universiade of Ukraine our students won two gold, six silver and two bronze medals.

As a result, Yevgen Yudenkov and Eduard Ermakov got the right to participate in the XXIX World Universiade in Taipei as part of the national team of Ukraine.
