We remember!
22.6.2017
On June 22, the collective of LTSNU remembers the events of the Second World War and honors the memory of the victims of the war in Ukraine.
Nobody is forgotten! Nothing is forgotten! That is what the staff and students of LTSNU say. We pass it from generation to generation. We fixed this memorable date in our hearts. It is in our national calendars – Ukraine established it by the Decree of the President of Ukraine on November 17, 2000 No. 1245/2000 as “Day of mourning and commemoration of the victims of war in Ukraine”.
The Second World War is the bloodiest global conflict, during which, according to various estimates, from 50 to 85 million people died. This terrible tragedy is remembered all over the world.
This terrible hard life took the lives of people who, just like we now dreamed and planned … But they had to take the first blow, which immediately broke it all off. Their lives were destroyed by the terrible, cruel, long-suffering war.
Every year on this Day we remember. We remember those who did not return from that war. We remember those who defended our victory then, and those who defend it now.
Today Ukraine is again experiencing tragic times, but thanks to the courage of our defenders who are fighting in Donbas against the invaders, we feel security and safety.
We did not forget the feat of the heroes of World War II. And we will not let anyone forget this! Bright and eternal memory to them!
