“Donbas-Ukraine” starts work

Today the educational center “Donbas-Ukraine” has started  its work in the consultative mode at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

The educational center “Donbas-Ukraine”, which began its activity in June 2016, provides an affordable and high-quality education in Ukrainian universities for residents of Luhansk and Donetsk regions from the territory of the antiterrorist operation and settlements located on the contact line.

Last year more than 530 people applied to the educational center for consultations. More than half of them became students of our University. A significant part of the applicants are residents of the Stanychno-Luhansky and Popasnyansky districts, the city of Schastia, Luhansk, Rovenky, Khrustalny, Alchevsk, Kadievka.

The specialists of the educational center advise the youth, help them in the preparation of documents and provide recommendations regarding admission to the university.

This year the list of cities and towns was enlarged, in which graduates have the right to enter the university without certificates of the Independent evaluation testing, according to the results of entrance examinations. The list included Stanychno-Luhansky and Popasnyansky districts.

Applicants who do not have a document on full general secondary education of the state sample will be able to undergo a simplified procedure of state final certification in the Ukrainian language and literature and history of Ukraine, based on the results of which a state-issued certificate is issued. The results of the state final certification will be counted as the results of the entrance examinations. After that, the entrants will be able to submit documents to the admission committee and pass the entrance examination in the profile subject of the chosen specialty.

This procedure including the entrance exams to the university for applicants for the chosen specialty will last 1-2 days. Applicants (if necessary with parents) will be granted accommodation in the hostel.

The educational center will work from June 19 to September 30, 2017.

• Saturday and Sunday: from 09:00 to 15:00.
