Results of the Preparatory Department

The training course “Informatics” was completed at the Preparatory Department of LTSNU.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University actively implements modern innovative technologies in activities to ensure quality education. Informatics classes that lasted at the Preparatory Department were designed to familiarize pupils of comprehensive schools with the features of the personal computer, its device, principles of software configuration.

Classes were held with the support of the charity organization “Luhansk regional branch” of the International charitable organization “Charity Fund” SOS Children’s Village”, which provided students with modern laptops for educational activities and work.

The training course consisted of two parts: computer science and computer graphics. During this time, 11 students of Starobilsk district got acquainted with the peculiarities of work in Microsoft, got the skills of graphic design and editing of photographic materials. Each lesson envisaged both a theoretical basis and a practical consolidation of the acquired knowledge.

Teachers of the classes were employees of the Center for Information Technology A.V. Bugayevska and M.M. Fomenko, who know not only the theoretical knowledge base, but also have a great practical experience with modern technology. During the training, they supported pupils, gave valuable advice and recommendations, transferring their own experience and achievements.

During the final lesson on computer science, pupils passed the test and received certificates of completion of training at the Preparatory Department at the course “Informatics”. According to A.V. Bugayevska, one of the main problems was the establishment of confidential relations with children. But the difficulties were overcome, and the pupils and teachers managed to achieve their goals.

Completing the training, the children thanked the teachers for their work and knowledge.
