Classes are over, and sports battles continue!

Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” are constantly pleased with their sports achievements.

– The first-year student majoring in “Physical culture and sports. Sports” Bogdana Semenova – candidate for the master of sports of Ukraine in track and field athletics, at the Ukrainian Championship among juniors took the first place and got a gold medal in the women’s 3000 metres steeplechase with the result of 11.21 min.

– Her classmate Bogdan Buryashek, master of sports of Ukraine in weightlifting, at the All-Ukrainian Universiade in the weight category up to 105 kg won a gold medal with the result of 378 kg (171 kg – jerk, 207 kg – push).

– Also, at the Ukrainian Boxing Championship the first-year student majoring in “Secondary education. Physical Culture” Anton Antonov won a silver medal and according to his results he fulfilled the standard of the master of sports of Ukraine.
