Symposium in Lviv
29.5.2017
The XIII International Symposium of Ukrainian Mechanical Engineers in Lviv (ISUMEL-13) took place on May 18-19.
It was held at one of the leading technical universities in Europe – Lviv Polytechnic National University. The University was founded in 1816 and is located in the pearl of the cities of Ukraine – the ancient city of Lviv.
The Associate Professor of the Department of Production Technologies and Professional Education of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism Valery Kolesnikov participated in the scientific conference where he made a presentation “Diagnosis of damage and fracture of heavy-weight alloys based on the results of research of wear and cut products.” The report was accompanied by an informative presentation. The co-authors were Oleksandr Balitsky and Maria Gavrilyuk (H.V. Karpenko Physico-Mechanical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Lviv, Ukraine), Jacek Eliash (The West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin, Poland).
The subject of scientific research is devoted to automating the identification of destructive processes, which should lead to a significantly higher level of issues of diagnostics and prediction of the operational stability of critical parts of power equipment. The report covered the results of tribological studies, which were carried out on the laboratory installation of SMT-1 (2070). Attention is focused on the need to identify wear and cut products. One way is to use various methods of computer vision (Pat. 108524 Ukraine, IPC G01N3 / 56, G 01N15 / 10 Method for determining the shape of the surface of particles after dry and hydrogen wear of systemic computer vision). The influence of lubricating-cooling liquids (patents of Ukraine No. 89417 and No. 106988) was studied: – on the basis of sunflower oil, rapeseed oil and olive oil based on ET-2 on the machinability of steel cutting (chrome-manganese high-nitrogen, rotor, high-nickel) power equipment during turning and drilling. They include a mixture of oil acids with triethanolamine, dissolved in industrial oil I-20A. It is determined that the surface roughness decreases by a factor of nine in comparison with the dry treatment and changes in the size and morphology of the chips, which, due to the action of the coolant, is crushed.
With the help of modern technology and computer programs, products of wear, cutting and corrosion were studied, which allowed to link their morphology with the nature of destruction and the influence of operating environments.
The previously obtained scientific results in this field allowed participating in conferences in Poland and presenting posters there.
