“One City – One Book”

Luhansk National University actively joined the action “One City – One Book”, organized with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine.

Within three weeks, on the basis of the Information Resource Center “Window on America”, a number of events were held dedicated to the work of the outstanding American writer Edgar Allan Poe. Viewing fragments from the film, reading the most popular works of the artist and discussing ambiguous moments in E.Po’s works occurred next to interesting contests and quizzes, the winners of which received gifts, while improving their English skills and received positive emotions. We spent time with benefit and pleasure!

It is pleasant to note that the work of E. Poe and the study of the English language are of interest to a diverse audience. Schoolchildren, students, employees and teachers of the University, representatives of the public, employees of Luhansk Regional Library named after M. Gorky took part in the events.
