All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference

On the 19th of May All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Functional and Stylistic Potential of Romance and Germanic Languages in European Expanse” was held in Luhansk National University.
The organisators of the Conference are: the Romance and Germanic Philology Department, State Institution Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, Mykolayiv National University named after V.Sukhomlynskyi, and Zaporizhia Institute of Economics and Information Technologies.
Poltava University of Economics and Trade and Poltava National V.G. Korolenko Pedagogical University took part in the Conference.
The Conference began with the greeting of the Dean on the Faculty of Foreign Languages Karpenko I.M..On the Plenary session such topics were discussed as the necessity of inculcation trainings as effective method in teaching foreign languages, the implementation of blended foreign language learning in Austria, and also speech acts of English, German and French incantations comparing to Ukrainian were examined.
After the Plenary session sections “The Discourse in Intercultural Communication: Verbal and Non-verbal Means of Communication”, “Linguistic Culturology, Cognitive science and Study of Literature” and “Modern Principles of Teaching Foreign Language in European Integration Conditions”, “English for Specific Purposes”” started their work. During the sections working the participants had an opportunity to discuss the problems which were mentioned in the reports, and also to propose the ways of solving them.
At the end of the Conference the Head of the Romance and Germanic Philology Department Shekhavtsova S.O. thanked to everyone who took part in the first All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference. For the first time during the years of the evacuation, the Department held the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference, which gave the opportunity to revive the traditions.
