Vyshyvanka Day in Kreminna

On May 18, the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports celebrated the World Vyshyvanka Day with a festive photo session in the city of Kreminna.
The idea of the action “World Vyshyvanka Day” in 2006 was offered by the student of Yuri Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University Lesya Voronyuk. She invited groupmates and students to choose one day and all together to dress vyshyvanka. First several dozen students and several faculty teachers dressed embroideries. And during the following years the celebration spread to the All-Ukrainian level, the Ukrainian diaspora around the world joined it, as well as the admirers of Ukrainian culture.
For some students of the Institute this day was also marked by the fact that they first dressed embroidered shirts and expressed their national and civic position.
Formation of national consciousness of student youth today is quite a responsible task, which is not only for higher educational institutions, but for modern Ukrainian society in general, because the youth is the future of our nation!
