Regional Athletics Championship

On May 11-13, students and teachers of the ER IPES took part in the Open Cup of Luhansk region, the Regional Athletics Championship among juniors and XIX Open Regional Competitions for prizes of participants of the Olympic Games.

The winners were:

• the third-year student majoring in “Physical Education” Maksym Denyak – in run on 400 meters;
• the fourth-year student majoring in “Physical Education” Lidiya Matviychuk – in run on 200 meters, 400 meters;

The second place was won by:

• the second-year student majoring in “Physical Education” Ruslan Kordik – in run on 3,000 meters;
• the second-year student majoring in “Physical Education” Natalia Grinyuk – in run on 3000 meters among juniors.

The third place was won by:

• The second-year student majoring in “Human Health” Valeriya Ryzhkova – in run on 3,000 meters among juniors;
• The second-year student majoring in “Physical Education” Natalia Grinyuk – in run on 3,000 meters among adults;
• The second-year student majoring in “Physical Education” Ruslan Kordik – in run on 1,500 meters among juniors.

Lidiya Matviychuk for the victory in run on 400 meters was awarded a prize from the three-time champion of the Olympic Games Olga Bryzgina.

It is necessary to note the teachers, who not only teach the basics of sports skills in theory, but also in practice showed their students a high level of their sports training. So, the teacher of the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports Oleksandr Dubovy took the second place in the shot put, and the senior teacher of the Department of Sports Disciplines Tetyana Polulyaschenko became the champion of the Luhansk region in run on 3,000 meters.
