Our students took prizes in the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Programming.
Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies took the second place in the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Programming.
The first stage of the Olympiad is a regional competition and has the status of ⅛ world championship ACM ICPC (Association for Computing Machinery / International Collegiate Programming Contest). The Olympiad ACM ICPC is known as a competition that opens high-end programmers and mathematicians who solve complex applied problems working together. Participation in this event is very prestigious and opens up prospects for employment, since the high level of training of all participants demonstrates the great scientific potential of students.
On the eve of the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Programming at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, a team was formed comprising students from the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies: Vadym Akinshin, Vladyslav Kozub, Yulia Mogylna, Yevgen Simonov. Yuri Godeevich Kozub became the scientific adviser of the youth.
After a long and thorough preparation, the students of our University took part in the regional stage of the Programming Olympiad, during which the team had to show their skills in solving problems, coordinating activities and knowledge of the English language. Following the results of the first stage, representatives of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took an honorable second place.
Participation in international and All-Ukrainian Olympiads and competitions is evidence of high-quality training of future specialists, continuation of educational traditions of one of the oldest universities in the Eastern Ukrainian region.
