Chernobyl is a tragedy of generations

A requiem to commemorate the 31st anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy “Chernobyl is a tragedy of generations” was held at the College of LTSNU and the Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College.

Years passed after the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. But the pain does not cease, the anxiety does not leave people connected with the mournful time of the nuclear apocalypse.

On April 27, 2017, the requiem of memory for the 31st anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy “Chernobyl is a tragedy of generations” was held at the College of LTSNU and the Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College, during which students and teachers honored a minute of silence victims of the Chernobyl disaster. They listened to the poems performed by the college students, timed to this sad date; saw the documentary “Chernobyl – Chronicle of the Weeks” about the terrible events of April 26, 1986.

A young generation of Ukrainians should always remember the unforgettable feat of ordinary citizens, military, doctors, firefighters who, at the cost of their own lives and health, struggled with “atomic disaster”. Mankind must learn a lesson for the future, so that the “Chernobyl” will never again be able to repeat itself.

Our eternal gratitude to all those who risk their health and life, took part in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident and continues to revive the new radiation-scorched earth.
