School of Pre-Medical Care

Teachers of the RCVE and students of the Starobilsk Humanitarian-Pedagogical College and the College of LTSNU are trained in the school of the first pre-medical care.

The ability to provide first aid is directly related to the concept of life-saving competence. It should be noted that the concept of “First aid” includes both the ability to provide self-help, and the possession of fundamentals of resuscitation, skills of stopping bleeding and immobilizing fractures of various types, providing assistance to victims in an emergency situation from various injuring factors and transportation skills of the victim.

In order to increase the awareness of the population and form practical skills in providing first aid students, teachers and employees continue their education at LTSNU. The event is supported by the Malta Relief Service, the Center for Psychosocial Adaptation and the Student Social Service of our University.

On the eve of the All-Ukrainian Road Safety Week, a pre-hospital course was held for college students. The main skill is the removal of the psychological barrier in the decision “Why me? “Provide or not?” And the provision of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The participants of the event practiced skills on the dummy, which became an important condition for practical consolidation of the acquired knowledge, as the memory is stored and the person can still help even in a stressful state.

Students and teachers of the Regional Center for Vocational Education received practical skills in applying bandages in the event of traumatic situations, familiarized with the methods of conducting indirect heart massage, acquired theoretical knowledge about the anti-shocks and stable position on the side.
