Victory in the All-Ukrainian Competition

The student of the Faculty of Natural Sciences won in the All-Ukrainian Student Scientific Papers Contest in Geography.

Scientific work of students is one of the priority activities of the Department of Geography, meets the objectives of the science policy of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University for the support of talented youth. During the last three years, the best students-geographers participate in all-Ukrainian Olympiads and contests of student scientific papers and demonstrate high results.

This year, the master student majoring in “Earth Sciences” Oleksii Zadesentsev received a diploma of the third degree in the All-Ukrainian Student Scientific Papers in the field of “Geographical Sciences”. The theme of the scientific work submitted for the competition was “Socio-geographical characteristics of the Severodonetsk-Lysychansk agglomeration”. The scientific adviser is Associate Professor I.G. Melnik.

The contest was held on March 28-29 in the city of Melitopol, at Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University. Students of geographical faculties of leading universities of Ukraine took part in it. The defense of scientific works was divided into two sections: physical geography and social geography.

Teachers of the Department of Geography congratulate Oleksii Zadesentsev on the prize-winning place and wish new victories!
