II Stage of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad

The second round of the Student Olympiad on specialty “English Language and Literature” was held in Ostroh.
The National University of Ostroh Academy (Ostroh, Rivne region) hosted the 2nd round of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad on specialty “English Language and Literature”, to which 55 students from different universities were invited.
Four-year student of the Romance and Germanic Department Liudmyla Ovcharova and student of Master’s degree Marharyta Vieriemieyeva took an active part in five competitive tasks: Writing, Listening, Reading and English in Use, Speaking, Linguistic Theory, Literature of Great Britain and USA, and received certificates of participants.
As Rector of the National University of Ostroh Academy Ihor Pasichnyk remarks, students of over 72 universities sent their blanks to take part in the 2nd part of the Olympiad, but only 55 were chosen, which means that our University has a status of one of the best universities in Ukraine.
We thank the University and Dean of Foreign Languages Ivan Mykhailovych Karpenko for support and ability of participating in the 2nd round of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad. Students received vivid impressions of assignments, communication with friends, excursions to the National University of Ostroh Academy and Ostroh.
