Tourist Competitions

On April 7, students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences in the city of Kreminna organized and held tourist competitions dedicated to the 94th anniversary of the FNS.
Representatives of the University Administration, Director, teachers and students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports came to congratulate our Faculty.
The holiday began with the welcoming words of the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Natalya Matzai, after which the flag was raised and the hymn of our Faculty was performed. The high guests of our holiday including the Rector of the University Serhii Savchenko and the Director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Yuri Polulyashchenko addressed to the teachers and students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences with warm and sincere words of greetings.
Pavlenko Constantine, the head of the distance, the master student majoring in “Earth Sciences”, addressed the participants of the competition explaining the peculiarities of the “Cross-hike”. He together with the students of his specialty prepared an interesting route, which included the high-speed stage, the marked route, the definition of azimuth, ecological drawing, making puzzles of a topographic map, lighting a fire, photo check-point and orientation on the terrain. The length of the route was 2800 meters. Seven teams took part In this exciting action. The teams consisted of students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and the Institute of Physical Education and Sports. All participants with great pleasure crossed the finish line. After the finish, a very tasty kulesh was waiting for the students and teachers.
During our holiday, there was an unpredictable situation. Not far from our camp two trees broke out. The students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences did not lose their heads and neutralized the fire very quickly.
The celebration of the birthday ended with the awarding of teams in various nominations and catering with a birthday cake.
