LNU Student Became One of the Best in Powerlifting

LNU student became one of the best among the participants at the Ukrainian powerlifting championship among juniors (under 18 years).

The competitions were held from February 2 to February 6 in the Carpathian city of Kolomyia. II year student of “Sports” specialty, master of sport of Ukraine Danylo Kovalov became one of the best among the young sportsmen of Ukraine. Danylo works under the direction of the trainers O.M. Bychkov, I.V. Zbandut and V.H. Saienko.

He is a silver winner at the World Championship 2014 among the youth. Danylo Kovalov showed the excellent results at the National Championship 2015 and took the I place at the weight class under 105 kg. The total weight of his lifted bar is 852.5 kg which includes: 350 kg bar squat + 212.5 kg bench pressing + 290 kg deadlift.
