Concert to the Jubilee of Mykola Lysenko

Recently, the Institute of Culture and Arts of LTSNU hosted a concert dedicated to Mykola Lysenko’s jubilee “Musical Colors of Ukraine”.
The event was dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the birth of the founder of Ukrainian classical music Mykola Lysenko. The concert-dedication (video recording) consisted not only of the works of the classical composer, but also of compositions by contemporary authors – members of Poltava and Luhansk cells of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine – T. Oskomenko-Parulava, V. Skakun, V. Chukhrai, Yu. Korzhenko, S. Goryunovych, A. Stashevsky and K. Krepak.
The music of the teachers of our University was represented by parts of the symphonic suite “Ancient Kievan Frescoes”, the accordion play of Capriccio by Andrii Stashevsky, and a cycle of romances for Taras Shevchenko’s verses by Konstantin Krepak, which were warmly received by the public.
This concert action is a joint project of the Institute of Culture and Arts of our University, the Poltava Regional Philharmonic Society and the National Union of Composers of Ukraine.
So, the performers of this concert program were the soloists and the collectives of our University (the mixed choir conducted by Viktoria Yunda, the orchestra of folk instruments under the direction of Kateryna Reznikova, students and master students: Valerii Semenenko, Anna Karnaukhova, Serhii Spesyuk), and the artists of the Poltava Philharmonic “Song and Dance Ensemble “Poltava” under the leadership of Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Fyodor Krivenko, the ensemble” Churaivna “, People’s Artist of Ukraine Natalia Khomenko, Honored Artists of Ukraine Valentina Kolisnyk and Vasyl Panchuk, as well as Lidiya Kretova, Igor Hodyna, Alla Chepets, Ivan Reztsov, Olena Shevchenko).
