Participation in the Training

Representatives of the University took part in the training “Features of psycho-social support for victims of emergencies”.

The event, which took place in the city of Severodonetsk on March 31 and April 1, brought together leading psychologists, social workers, volunteers of mobile teams, as well as students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. Participants not only acquired new knowledge, but also had the opportunity to share their work experience with colleagues, gain skills in creating similar situations for real life and playing them with colleagues. According to the head of the student social service department E.G. Dorogavtseva, the most important is the ability to recover and not harm the injured.

The participants considered the impact of emergencies on human health, psycho-social support for individuals, mental health, and work with available resources and personal capabilities.

The obtained knowledge and experience will help the participants of the training during the provision of assistance to people affected by emergencies, as well as in future professional activities.
