Powerlifting Championship of the Luhansk region

In Kreminna city, the next Powerlifting Championship of the Luhansk region among boys and girls, juniors took place in the Sports and Fitness Center “Olimp”. It was dedicated to the memory of ATO soldiers.

45 athletes from six cities of the region gathered to compete for the title of the strongest athlete.

 Competitions were organized by the Luhansk Regional Powerlifting Federation in conjunction with the Department of Youth and Sports of Luhansk Regional State Administration and the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports of LTSNU.

 The opening ceremony of the Championship was attended by the Chairman of the Kreminna District Council Volodymyr M. Prokopenko, the Director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, the chairman of the FSO “Spartak” Yurii M. Polulyashchenko, the head of the Youth and Sports Sector of the Kreminna District Oleksandr Kuzmenko, the representatives of the Luhansk regional branch of the Committee for Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (the head is Viktor V. Ostretsov). Veterans of the ATO, representatives of the NGO “Ukrainian Association of Participants of Combat Operations and Volunteers of the ATO of Starobilsk District” (the head is Natalia O. Ivashko) were invited as honorary guests.

It should be noted the successful performance of the second-year student majoring in “Human Health” Vladislav Bondarenko, who took the first place in the weight category up to 83 kg with the sum of the triathlon 542.5 kg.

All the winners of the Championship in individual and team competitions were awarded with diplomas and medals of the Department of Youth and Sports of the LRSA, memorable prizes of the FSO “Spartak”, the Committee and the Association of the ATO soldiers.

Representatives of the organizations were awarded with diplomas of the Federation for their personal contribution to the development of powerlifting in the Luhansk region.
