Lecture on Human Rights

Students of the College of LTSNU met with the regional coordinator of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights V.I. Arkhipov.

In the modern realities of military events in the East of Ukraine, the unprecedented test for human rights and fundamental freedom appeared along with the extraordinary national rise. That is why the informational meetings is a necessary condition for the development of a democratic society.

During the meeting with students, V. I. Arkhipov told about the history of the rights and freedoms of a person that became a prerequisite of a democratic society. The regional coordinator informed the students about the activities of courts in Ukraine and the procedure for appeal to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

Students viewed photographs reflecting the conditions of detention in the reception and distribution of minors of the AMIA of Ukraine in Lugansk region and Perevalsk educational colony.

It was especially interesting for students to watch the informational cartoons showing life examples of human rights activities. The boy Vasyl, who is the main character of the cartoon, along with the audience learns about the basic principles of human rights protection.

At the end of the meeting, the coordinator of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights V.I. Arkhipov presented students the informational collections with useful tips on interacting with police.
