The student of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Valeria Gorelova as part of the team “Spartak” won the first place in the Women’s Basketball Championship of the city of Rubizhe.

The competition was held from February 25 to March 12 in the gym of the Rubizhne sports complex on the program of the 15th Spartakiad of physical culture collectives of enterprises, institutions, organizations and educational institutions of the city. The competition was attended by seven teams, which were divided into two subgroups.

The leaders of the Women’s Basketball Championship of the city of Rubizhne: the team “Spartak” and the Institute of Chemical Technology met in the final match. The score of the match was 69:35 in favor of the team “Spartak”.

According to the results of the Championship Valeria Gorelova was the most productive and valuable player in the team.

This is not the first success of Valeria. She is a 6-fold champion of the region among juniors. In addition, Valeria is a multiple champion of the city and the region in volleyball, table tennis. Now she is the third-year student of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports majoring in “Secondary Education (Physical Education)” and continues to be actively engaged in her favorite sports.
