Honored guests of the VIII International Exhibition “Modern Educational Establishments – 2017” told about the scientific event.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in the VIII International Exhibition “Modern Educational Establishments – 2017”, where it was awarded with gold medals and the title of “Leader of Higher Education”. The scientific event united educators of the Ukrainian and international communities, provided an opportunity to exchange experience in pedagogical work, find new ways to improve the quality of education.

The exhibition was attended by honored guests including People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Chairman of the Supervisory Council of LTSNU Vitalii S. Kurylo and the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Vasyl G. Kremin.

The President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine V.G. Kremin told about the role of the exhibition for the scientific community and the development prospects of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University:

Vasyl Grygorovych, what is the main goal of the International Exhibition?

The main goal of the exhibition is to attract the attention of the society and the state to the significance of this event, as well as to give the opportunity to the best educational institutions to demonstrate their experience and share this experience with others.

How important is the participation of displaced educational institutions in such events?

It is more difficult for displaced educational institutions to participate in exhibitions. Therefore, it is necessary to involve evacuated universities in participating in such events and to support them. You all showed patriotism and a sense of belonging to Ukrainian citizenship, and we must help you.

What, in your opinion, are the prospects for the development of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University today?

Luhansk National University was a powerful University and up to the tragic events in the east of Ukraine. But the educational institution was evacuated to a new place and now is building up its forces. I know that the People’s Deputy of Ukraine V.S. Kurylo pays a great attention to the University. A testament to the success of the development of the educational institution is the fact that Rector S.V. Savchenko was elected a corresponding member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. LTSNU has retained scientific schools, pedagogical schools, so I am convinced that you have a good future. Although, of course, the state should pay even more attention to evacuated educational institutions, including yours.

What are the main tasks facing our University in modern conditions?

In addition to becoming in new conditions, one must certainly change education in the context of changes that take place in the world. A significant role in your University is the training of a teacher, and I am convinced that it is necessary to train professionals who would be able to work on the development of the child’s competence skills during training. Thus, Luhansk National University has tasks that stand in general before higher education in Ukraine, and tasks that are related to a specific state and evacuation.

The Chairman of the Supervisory Council of LTSNU V.S. Kurylo spoke about the role of the International Exhibition in the development of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University:

Vitalii Semenovych, how do you assess the development of our University in the evacuation?

Luhansk National University is in the third year of evacuation. During this time, we strengthened the base and stabilized the staff. At the international exhibition “Modern Educational Establishments – 2017” we showed that we are engaged in science and research projects, and the award of the Grand Prix “Leader of Higher Education” is a testament to this. The fact that the University has once again received an honorable award is a testament to the development of the educational institution.

How important is participation in such events for our University?

Participation in the exhibition is important in the scientific and educational plan, as well as for the image of the University. We demonstrate to the international and All-Ukrainian community, as well as in the occupied territory, that the University operates fully. This is important for the establishment of the institution and its further development.

LTSNU has been taking part in the exhibition for 20 years. What changes have taken place in the event and the University during this time?

Even if you trace the awards for 20 years of participation in exhibitions, you can see the changes that have occurred both at the University and in the Exhibitions. In the first years of participation, we received diplomas of the participant of the exhibition and awards for small projects, and now we receive the Grand Prix for the activities of the University. Today, the range of problems that is being evaluated at the event has expanded, so that the exhibition develops and embraces more spheres of science and education.

What are the main tasks facing the University today?

Develop and be in the mainstream of world education, higher education trends, both in Ukraine and in the whole world.

How many exhibitors were this year?

This year, 796 participants from 25 regions and 14 countries of the world took part in the Exhibition. These are higher education institutions, general education schools, vocational educational institutions, manufacturers and representatives of means for the educational process.

What is the program of this Exhibition?

Within 3 days, 58 conferences and seminars will be held, where participants have the opportunity to exchange experiences. Each educational institution presents its proposals for admission to training and demonstrates the means for organizing the educational process at the information stands. We hold rating competitions and contests for institutions in the thematic nominations. This year 718 works were submitted for participation in the competition for thematic nominations.

The International Exhibition “Modern Educational Establishments – 2017” is a great scientific event, participation in which is a symbol of the development of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
