New Wins at the Sport Olympus

The students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports have new wins at the sport Olympus. This time they achieved success in swimming.

Recently the III year student of “Sport” specialty Andrii Chechelnytskyi has won two gold and two silver awards in swimming competitions which were held on January 10, 2015 in San-Antonio, USA. Andrii won the gold at the distances of 100 m and 200 m in breaststroke and the silver was won in the relay of 4х50 m. Before this the sportsman had taken part in the Ukrainian Cup where he had won the 3^rd place in the team event in short course (the City of Bila Tserkva). Also he had taken the 3^rd place in the team event in long course (the city of Kharkiv) and the 1^st place in the Ukrainian Championship, 50 m in breaststroke (the city of Dniprodzerzhynsk).

Last summer one more student of “Sport” specialty of LNU IPES won the gold and silver awards at the Ukrainian Championship in swimming which was held from June 20 to June 24 in Dnipropetrovsk. This is the IV year student Dmytro Drumov. Dmytro got the gold at the distance of 200 m in breaststroke and he won the silver at the distance of 400 m in free style. Earlier the sportsman had won the gold of the Ukrainian Cup in swimming at the distance of 400 m in free style (February, 2014).
