Student Conference
15.3.2017
Today, the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications hosted the All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference “The Creativity of Taras Shevchenko in the Context of the Epoch”.
Words and thoughts of the Great Kobzar often gain their volume and completeness, when Ukrainians become sad or when uncertainty in the future appears. Perhaps this is a certain symbolism, when we analyze the difficult life and the path to the universal recognition of Taras Shevchenko as the genius of Ukrainian history and when we compare it with the meager steps of the formation of modern Ukrainian consciousness.
Today’s time again requires us to be very active in understanding our national achievements, and most importantly, the formation of a solid integrated program or actions designed for the future.
The participants of the Conference worked on the problems “Traditions and Innovation in the Work of Taras Shevchenko”, “Linguistic Shevchenko’s Studies”, “The Vision World of Taras Shevchenko”, “Shevchenko’s Motives in the Works of Ukrainian Writers”.
28 students and master students of Zaporizhzhya National University, Poltava National V.G. Korolenko Pedagogical University, Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, Kyiv National Linguistic University, International University of Economics and Humanities named after academician Stepan Demianchuk, Lysychansk Pedagogical College, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University attended the Conference.
Especially it should be mentioned the research of “Haidamaki” by Taras Shevchenko and “Zalisenets. Black Crow” by Vasyl Shklyar: roll of historical canvases by Yulia Dubova, “National Renaissance of Taras Shevchenko: Media Reception” by Olena Smitanina, “The Image of Mother of God in Taras Shevchenko’s Poem “Maria” by Alina Ratnikova, “The Concept of Fate in the First Period of Taras Shevchenko’s Creativity” by Anna Ruzhin and others.
Young researchers of Shevchenko’s creativity defined in the work of Taras Shevchenko conceptual problems designed to encourage young people to rethink their spiritual heritage, create new cultural values and promote them among the world community. Kobzar builds a system of social, spiritual, moral and ethical values. He was a national ideologist, who described the concept of the state, which should constitute the spiritual basis of the national organism, to give it the state essence.
