LNU teacher obtained the title of Honored Artist in spite of the difficult situation in the region and the problems connected with evacuation.
The university is still a powerful scientific and cultural center in the East of Ukraine. One more proof of this is the achievement of the head of the Department of Theory, History of Music and Instrumental Training Andrii Stashevsyi. Andrii Yakovych has recently defended his doctoral thesis in art study and he obtained the high title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. This title is awarded for the creation of highly artistic works in the field of music, literature, drama, film, scientific works on art and literature, training of culture and arts workers and the organization of cultural sphere activities.
It’s not coincidentally that the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine was awarded to Andrii Yakovych Stashevskyi because he has a significant number of works for bayan which are regularly performed by young bayanists and famous musicians. Other genre of artist composing is chamber and instrumental music and symphonic music. Symphonic suite “Old Chinese frescos” is one of the brightest among this group, it was many times performed by symphony orchestra of Luhansk and Kharkiv philharmonics. Scientific part of professional activity of Andrii Yakovych is fruitful too as well. He is the author of more than 100 scientific and scientific and methodological works published in specific titles of Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan and of 4 fundamental monographs and a teaching book marked by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The rectorate, large collective of teachers, employees and students of LNU congratulate Andrii Yakovych with recognition. This is really great event which again proves the high level of teaching staff and the university at large in Ukrainian scientific, academic and cultural field.
