University Administration Meeting

The regular meeting of the University Administration took place at LTSNU.

There were two main issues on the agenda:

• the state and prospects of the development of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physical Education and Sports;
• the state and prospects of the development of Stakhanov Pedagogical College of LTSNU.

Y.M. Polulyashchenko spoke about “The state and prospects of the development of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports”.

Having heard and discussed the report of the Director, the University Administration noted that the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports provides training for specialists in the specialties “Physical Education”, “Sports”, “Human Health”, “Physical Rehabilitation”, “Secondary Education. Physical culture “,” Physical culture and Sports”, “Secondary Education. Human health”. The first- and second-year students of full-time education of all specialties study in a stationary mode. The educational and examination sessions are held for the senior students of full-time and correspondence form of training. Also they study remotely.

Teachers and staff of the Institute take part in career guidance activities: multimedia presentations of the departments have been created. They established with Donetsk Higher School of the Olympic Reserve named after Serghii Bubka, Lysychansk and Artemivsk Pedagogical Colleges, Medical Schools (Starobilsk, Kreminna, Lysychansk, Bakhmut, Konstiantynivka), Luhansk Higher School of Physical Education and Sports (Kreminna), secondary schools (Kreminna), Rehabilitation Center (Kreminna). Teachers of the Institute hold competitions in football, volleyball, basketball among senior pupils of the city and the region.

Eight students and graduates of the Institute were participants in the XXXI Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro-2016. Students-athletes, members of the national teams of Ukraine in various sports take part in the international competitions.

Teachers of the Institute took part in the work of eight international and all-Ukrainian conferences. Five international, all-Ukrainian and regional conferences were held at the Institute.

In social and humanitarian work with students, the directorate pays special attention to national-patriotic upbringing. Thus, meetings are regularly held with law enforcement officers, prosecutors, ATO participants, servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, employees of the State Emergency Situations Ministry.

At the same time, the University Administration noted certain unsolved and problematic issues in the work of the Institute.

T.I. Vasilchenko spoke about the state and prospects of the development of Stakhanov Pedagogical College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. Having heard and discussed the report of the Director of the College, the University Administration noted that, by defeating difficulties in the conditions of moving to Lysychansk, Stakhanov Pedagogical College resumed its educational activity and has the opportunity to implement the teaching and educational process.

24 full-time teachers and 1 part-time teacher provide the teaching and educational process in the College. 15 of them are specialists of the highest category, 4 teachers have a scientific degree of Candidate of Sciences, 2 – academic title of Associate Professor, 7 teachers – pedagogical title “teacher-methodologist”. In accordance with the schedule and the regulations, the certification of teachers and the completion of refresher courses are conducted annually.

In conditions of temporary evacuation, the educational process is organized using distance learning technologies. To organize the educational process, educational audiences and individual music classes of Lysychansk Pedagogical College are used.

The main direction in the activity of the educational institution is the problem of national-patriotic education of students. The analysis allows to define that this work is carried out and reflected in educational, industrial, research and socio-humanitarian work, a series of various events (thematic lectures, video presentations, round tables, meetings with ATO soldiers, information and educational exhibitions, Internet competitions), which correspond to the current conditions of the College and the educational forms of students. The college students take part in joint projects with teachers, promotions, events in various areas of educational activities.

However, there are certain problems in the educational activities of Stakhanov Pedagogical College of LTSNU.
