“Shevchenko’s Days”

“Shevchenko’s Days” were held at the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts and the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

Annually in early March, Ukraine celebrates “Shevchenko’s Days”, dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko.

Students and teachers of two structural subdivisions of LTSNU including the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​and the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts joined the celebration of the 203rd anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birthday.

On March 9, a festive documentary panorama was held to the birthday of the outstanding poet, during which students and teachers watched a documentary film “Secrets of the genius of Shevchenko”. After watching the film all participants enthusiastically discussed what they saw, shared their thoughts and expressed their vision of the role of T. Shevchenko in the life of the Ukrainian people. Also, curatorial hours were held on the theme “Glory of Shevchenko – Glory of Ukraine”, where students also watched documentary films, read out Shevchenko’s poems and discussed them.
