On March 9, students and teachers of the University took part in the celebrations dedicated to Taras Shevchenko’s birthday in the settlement of Stanytsia Luhanska.
During the month the flashmob “Respect the Native Language”, announced by schoolchildren of Stanychno-Luhansk district, continued. It was supported by residents of 27 cities and more than 100 villages of Ukraine, as well as Ukrainians living abroad. The Minister of Culture of Ukraine Evgen Onishchuk, the Chairman of the Supervisory Council of LTSNU Vitalii Kurylo, the Ukrainian poet and publisher, the winner of the Shevchenko Prize Ivan Malkovych, the writer Serhii Zhadan, the journalist and publicist Vakhtang Kipiani, the People’s Artist of Ukraine Svitlana Mirvoda, military men, volunteers, scientists, civil servants, teachers, students, students, preschoolers and their parents took part in the flashmob.
Students and teachers of the University actively joined the flashmob. They not only recorded videos, but also took part in the gala concert, which was held in Stanytsia Luhanska.
During the performance, we felt incredible support of the audience. The highest award was the words of one of the event organizers: “This flashmob gave us faith in the future.”
