The holiday “We hear you, Kobzar, through the centuries …” took place in the College of LTSNU.
On the occasion of the 203rd anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birthday, the College of LTSNU hosted the holiday “We hear you, Kobzar, through the centuries …”. Its goal was to show the versatility of the personality of the Great Ukrainian poet, the greatness and uniqueness of the creative heritage of Kobzar today.
At the beginning of the event, the teacher of the Ukrainian language and literature of the College of LTSNU Natalia Klimenko congratulated all those present and read one of the poems of Taras Shevchenko.
Today students together with the presenters passed the poet’s life path step by step. They talked about his fate, his work. “It’s hard to be a hero, because the real heroes never fit into the framework of their lives, they are immeasurably greater, therefore, one must go to them for a long time. The fate of the great poets is heavy and tragic, because they are ahead of their time, and descendants for centuries cannot catch up with them,” – the presenters said.
During the event, students recited poems of Kobzar, among which were “Lileya”, “Mermaid”, an excerpt from the poem “Katerina” and others, watched the video “The Way to Taras”, showed a sketch of the conversation between the mother and her son. In addition, students watched a video presentation, which contained brief information from the writer’s biography and the main periods of his work.
In the second half of the holiday, students took part in the contest of readers “On the Strings of Kobzar’s Soul”, where each of the participants had the opportunity to read the author’s poetry or poetry of Taras Shevchenko. All the students sincerely and soulfully recited the selected poem or the excerpt, forcing the present people to remember, reflect and draw conclusions for themselves.
Each of them tried to show skills and bring poetry to the heart of everyone present. Therefore, the members of the jury (including the Director of the College Natalia V. Motunova, the Deputy Director for Training and Production Work of the College Victoria P. Golovina and the employee of the Marketing Department Iryna V. Bakhmet) had to define the best. The winner was the student majoring in “Physical Education” Serhii Sergienko, who with deep insight read the poem “I do not care if I will …”.
The Diploma for the second place was taken by the student of the PO-2 (9) group Maryna Bugaevska, and the third place was awarded to the student of the DV-2 (9) group Kateryna Gritsyna. All the other participants of the competition were awarded with diplomas.
Today, students of the LTSNU College not only honored Taras Shevchenko’s memory, but also made sure once again that the work of the Great Kobzar will live in our hearts and minds forever.
