“Global Shevchenko”

Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports joined the international flashmob “Global Shevchenko”, dedicated to the 203rd anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birthday.

On the eve of the 203rd anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birthday, the international flashmob “Global Shevchenko” started. Students majoring in “Human Health” and “Physical Rehabilitation” joined it.

The main purpose of the flashmob is to commemorate the life and works of the great poet, showing monuments installed both worldwide and in Ukraine, that testify to the universal recognition and love for the Kobzar.

According to the rules of the flashmob before March 8, you need to make a photo or selfie near the monument to Taras Shevchenko and post it on social networks (Facebook, VKontakte, etc.), be sure to include the hash-tag #GlobalShevchenko.

In addition, the organizers called on Ukrainians around the world on March 9 at 16:00 (Kyiv time) to come to the monuments to Taras Shevchenko and simultaneously read the poem “In the dungeons” («В казематі» (Мені однаково, чи буду…)). which will show respect and love of the Ukrainian people to the creativity of Kobzar.

We hope that other structural subdivisions of the University will also join the flashmob.
