The memory of the Great Kobzar

Students and teachers of the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies honored the memory of the Great Kobzar.

The genius of the Ukrainian people Taras Shevchenko is an outstanding poet and painter, whose identity is inspiring and amazing by courage and resilience.  The Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies hosted a series of events dedicated to Taras Shevchenko.

In the hall of our University students held a flashmob “The image of Ukraine in the poems of Taras Shevchenko”, during which the young people read out excerpts from poems that illustrate the image of Ukraine. The Great Kobzar modeled the political future of our country with intellectuals of the secret society of Cyril and Methodius Brotherhood. Despite the suffering, struggles and vicissitudes, the artists saw the image of Ukraine as a democratic, free and developed state.

The festive events continued to the lecture “Political ideas of Taras Shevchenko”, which was held by the Deputy Director for Social and Humanitarian Work V.S. Plyasov. The teacher spoke about the activities and ideological foundations of Cyril and Methodius Brotherhood, attitudes and beliefs of Taras Shevchenko, and noted that the outstanding poet became the inspirer for many generations of Ukrainians.

Teachers and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University honor the memory of the great genius, they are proud to belong to the family, which bears the name of the prominent Ukrainian.
