The first stage of the Olympiad

On February 28, the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports held the first stage of All-Ukrainian Olympiad in the specialty “Physical Education”.

The slogan of the Olympiad: “To teach is to learn twice.” – Joseph Joubert.

The 2-4-year students and master students have demonstrated their knowledge in testing in the theory and methodology of physical education and biomedical foundations of physical education. They took an active part in the contest – presentation of “Advertising of the specialty “Physical Education” for the promotion of the profession of the physical culture teacher and attraction of applicants to the specialized higher education institutions” (homework).

The first round of the Olympiad was completed by the round table on the theme “National gaming culture as means of formation of identity and patriotism of pupils”, where students showed creativity and originality in the presentation of their own point of view on the problems and gave practical advice on tasks.

As a result of the creative dispute, places were distributed as follows:

1st place was taken by the master student Snizhana Porokhnya (supervisor is Associate Professor O.V. Otravenko), 2nd place – 2nd year student (with a reduced training period, training period is 2 years) Dmytro Pelipas (supervisor is Associate Professor O.V. Otravenko) 3rd place – 1st year student (with a reduced training period, training period is 2 years) Valeria Gorelova (supervisor is Associate Professor O.V. Otravenko) and 2nd year student Olena Zinova (supervisor is head of the Department of Theory and Methodics of Physical Education, Associate Professor O.I. Sokolenko).

Members of the Commission wish the winners creative success in the next round to be held in Kyiv!
