Mother Language Day

Teachers and students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports took part in the celebration of the Mother Language Day.

On February 21, the staff and pupils of Kreminna Regional Center for Social Rehabilitation of Disabled Children celebrated the Mother Language Day. Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports majoring in “Human Health” and “Physical Rehabilitation” joined them.

The holiday passed in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Guests of the event were first in the role of the audience, listening to poems about the native language by pupils of the Center, and then participated in fun games together with children. At the end of the event, pupils of the Center and their parents received from students symbolic yellow and blue bracelets.

The organization of such activities for children of preschool and primary school age is an important initiative, because the mother language is the language of childhood, the first experience of knowing the world and the foundation of the first relationships in the society.

Велична, щедра і прекрасна мова,
Прозора й чиста, як гірська вода, –
То України мова барвінкова, –
Така багата й вічно молода.

Вона, як ніжна пісня колискова,
Заходить в серце й душу з ранніх літ,
Ця мова, наче пташка світанкова,
Що гордо лине в свій стрімкий політ.
