Meeting with Representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Educational and Research Institute of Economy and Business held a meeting with representatives of the civil-military cooperation.

In modern realities, process of peaceful settlement in the East of Ukraine requires consolidation of efforts of the whole society, introduction of new approaches and principles of cooperation of the Armed Forces with public authorities, international and national non-governmental organizations. The civil-military cooperation is systematic and planned activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations and law enforcement agencies in order to create a positive public opinion and assist the civilian population in solving life problems with the use of military and non-military capabilities.

During the meeting with students and teachers, officers of the group of civil-military co-operation told the audience about the current state of political and public life in Ukraine, main functions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are  implemented by the civil-military co-operation subdivisions.

Students asked questions about the current activities of the military and the most problematic moments of their work. During the practical training on military-patriotic education, representatives of the civil-military cooperation talked about the basic rules of handling explosive ordnance and mine safety measures.

Especially the audience was impressed by weapons and security, in particular body armor and medical supplies that meet the European requirements. Everyone was able to demonstrate own skills for using available equipment with the support of the military men.

At the end of the meeting, students and teachers thanked the officers of civil-military cooperation for information and expressed hope for further cooperation.
