Heroes Do Not Die

LTSNU honored the memory of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes.
The state basis becomes the primordial purpose of the struggle and aspirations of outstanding figures of culture, science and brave warriors. Significant dates in the history of the Ukrainian state was a turning point in the national consciousness of our people.
Students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University respect the century’s desire of our people and direct their efforts for the enhancement of the achievements of the Ukrainian state. The youth of the educational institution is actively involved in cultural and educational events, shows respect for the values of the state and is a worthy representative of the independent nation.
Teachers and students of Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College and LTSNU College honored the heroes who died on Maidan in 2014.
The event was attended by the first Deputy Chairman of Starobilsk District State Administration O.S. Kalinin, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of LTSNU O.I. Babichev, Director of Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College E.S. Kovpak and the Director of LTSNU College N.V. Motunova.
Oleksandr S. Kalinin addressed the audience and noted that the student youth had become a driving force for the Revolution of Dignity. Oleksandr Babichev told about the important events in 2013-2014, tragic pages of the history of our state and emphasized that the memory of the Maidan heroes should be transmitted to children and descendants, as a symbol of invincibility of spirit and boundless love for the freedom of the Ukrainian nation.
Students read an address of the Chairman of the Luhansk Regional State Administration – Head of the Regional Military And Civil Administration Yuri Garbuz on the occasion of the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes and commemorated a minute of silence.
Especially the youth was impressed by movies that reflect the tumultuous events of the Revolution of Dignity. The bloody face of opposition in 2014 will remain in people’s memory as an example of unity for the sake of the European future.
There was an exhibition of the scientific library of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. The unique literary heritage includes evidence of the terrible events of February 20, 2014 and the history of military conflicts in Ukraine. The authors of the presented books give a thorough analysis of a hybrid war, the concepts of “nation” and “nationalism”.
The students read their own poems dedicated to the Motherland and the heroes who protect its independence. Poetic lines recited by students impress by their sincerity, depth of thought, patriotism and unity idea.
The feat of the Heaven Hundred Heroes is an occasion to reflect on the eternal values, problems that troubled our nation for centuries. The dream of the Maidan heroes must be realized, and today the future of our state depends only on us.
