“Festival of Professions”

The Regional Centre for Professional Education of LNU held a creative contest “The Festival of Professions.”

The professional self-determination is a prerequisite for successful socialization of the individual. In order to popularize working professions among youth, creating a positive image of the institution among the public, employers, local authorities was held a creative contest “The Festival of Professions”, which was attended by students of the RCPE of LTSNU. The event was held with the support of the Primary Trade Union Organization of our University.

Participants presented five professions in three nominations: “Professional Resume” – presentation of the logo and the slogan, “Agitator” – presentation of the features of learning and benefits of their specialty, as well as the “Creative Workshop”, where students showcased their talents and abilities.

The competent jury consisted of the Director of “Luhanskavto” N.I. Levenets, the Head of the Department of active support of jobless of the Starobilsk Employment Center V.A. Ivanov and the Director of “Regional Centre for Professional Education” of LTSNU N.S. Kurylo.

The event began with a presentation of students’ professions. Each group prepared their own symbolic emblem, which reflects the values and principles of their activities, and apt slogans became a symbol of love and the validity of their own choice.

Participants had the opportunity to prove the benefits of the chosen profession in the nomination “Agitator”. Students told in detail about the specifics of training, opportunities for further employment and the role of competent professionals in the public life.

Students of the RCPE are comprehensively developed personalities, having deep knowledge and creative abilities that were showed in the latter competition. The audience had the opportunity to enjoy songs performed by participants of the Festival and see the artwork of students.

The winners were students of the profession “Computer Typing Operator”, who demonstrated the cohesion and high level of training. Victories in the categories were given to the following professions: “Truck Cranes Machinists,” “Computer Typing Operator” and “Office Employee (accounting).” Participants received sweets and all together sang the final song, which became a symbol of unity and confidence in victory.
