We Present the Happiness to the Children!
19.12.2016
The winter is already coating the fir-trees with white snow and Father Frost has already got his gold sledge and he’s preparing for the big holiday of New Year’s Day. Furthermore, his old friend Saint Nicolaus is already dealing presents among children.
At the eve of the holiday the students of the Roman-Germanic Department decided to help Saint Nicolaus to present the gifts for the children. Besides that our Alma-mater is now known as an evacuated university, our students understand that there are some people who deserve some more help. That’s why the students of the Roman- Germanic Department visited Poltava Social Center of Protection of the Part-time Children Keeping in order to present every child a piece of happiness and love.
This week the action “From Heart to Heart” was opened on the Roman-Germanic Department. During this time more than a thousand hrivnas were collected, and children have got new pencils and coloring books. Girls were happy to get new dolls and boys were happy to get new toy-cars. Puzzles, copybooks and warm clothes were also a great surprise for them. Of course students didn’t forget about children’s favorite sweets and fruit.
Also, students brought an entertaining programme and prepared a lot of different games. It was wonderful to see shining eyes and bright smiles of the children! In the meanwhile, children told the students some poems and sang some songs.
The students went from the children’s house in a good and a sad mood, because they didn’t want to leave the children. But a little boy, Dima, took the pledge from the students to come back, so we’ll come back as soon as possible with new presents and positive emotions!
