Participation in the Regional Forum

Teachers of LTSNU took part in the II Regional Forum “IT-IDEAS 2016”.

The development of information technology is an important prerequisite for the creation of a strong potential for economic prosperity of the state, its entry into the European educational space. The II regional forum “IT-IDEAS 2016”, which took place on December 9 in Severodonetsk, provided an opportunity for scientists to organize the interaction and exchange of experiences on the implementation of innovative technologies.

The participants got acquainted with the projects of young scientists and developments in the field of information technology. Both individual participants and teams, regardless of status, place of study, work or professional education, presented works.

Teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University actively participate in international, national and regional research events, understanding the key role of modern innovative technologies in the development of European society. The Candidate of Technical Sciences, G.A. Mogylny and PhD L.I. Bondarenko participated in the second regional forum “IT-IDEAS 2016” with the project “Wireless monitoring system of the behavior of patients and the elderly people.”

Wireless monitoring system of the behavior of patients and the elderly people relates to the field of video surveillance and recognition of objects and situations, namely to devices for monitoring sounds, movements and behavior of patients and the elderly people in order to determine their physiological state. The system will keep tracking the movement of an object and provides the ability to automatically recognize different situations, namely, recognition of body contours, recognizing facial expressions, allows to analyze the background sound, speech recognition, and depending on the received information form the alarm message followed by its transmission over wireless networks serving personnel, relatives.

Participation in scientific events is a necessary condition for the development of the University, its recognition in the international educational arena. Teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University belong to a cohort of competent scientists whose research is very important for the development of modern science and technology.
