All-Ukrainian Week of Law

The All-Ukrainian Week of Law was held on the basis of the Starobilsk Department of RCPE of LTSNU.

From December 05 to December 11, 2016, the All-Ukrainian Week of Law was held on the basis of the Starobilsk Department of RCPE of LTSNU in order to improve the level of legal education and the formation of legal awareness and legal culture during classes and in after-hour work. Today, in conditions of economic crisis and social insecurity of the population, the growth of crime and criminalization of society it is necessary to raise the level of legal awareness and legal culture of the population of Ukraine. Most of all the younger generation is under the influence of the deformed consciousness, spiritual impoverishment and lawlessness in different spheres of life.

The week started with a solemn line, where the legal digest and the program of the week were held.

During the Week were carried out various activities: meetings, round tables “Are Criminals Made or Born?”, “Freedom and Responsibility”, “Legal Quest”, the All-Ukrainian law lesson on the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Assembly on December 10, 1948. Representatives of the United Nations Children’s Fund “SOS Children’s Village in Ukraine” conducted training sessions “Know Your Rights. Offenses “and the game-dramatization “Human Rights” with the first-year students.

The public importance of the right is definitely growing. This necessitates the formation of legal consciousness, raising the legal culture, respect for the law, overcoming the legal nihilism. The All-Ukrainian Week promotes awareness of the rights of students that important conditions for the existence of a democratic society is the legal education of citizens, respect for human rights, tolerance, the ability to find compromises.
