“Evenings in the Village of IPP”

On December 2, “Evenings in the Village of IPP” were held in the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.

From ancient times, such evenings imply fun, jokes, dancing, singing evening songs, ritual game and ancient traditions, interesting conversations and stories, as well as meeting new friends! Evenings in the Village of IPP is one of the most favorite holidays of students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. Many years ago, the Deputy Director of the IPP Vira F. Pushko introduced such an event at the Institute, when it was located in the city of Luhansk.

Today, our holiday has acquired a new substantive content, because it was dedicated to the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Therefore, the military men, who protect the sovereignty and independence of our country, as well as the peaceful life of each of us, were the honored guests of the IPP.

The relevance of the event “Evenings in the Village of IPP” is caused by the desire to restore and preserve the customs and culture of the Ukrainian people, to instill in the younger generation love to the native land, to the maternal language, the culture of native people. The event is held in order to every student feel the pride of belonging to the Ukrainian people and the feeling of “I am Ukrainian, and I am proud of it.” Such aspirations were originally instituted in our Ukrainian land.

In addition, now there was a necessity to create a positive image of the soldier, the readiness of young generation at all times to defend the Fatherland.

Students of IPP together with the guests watched an excerpt from the film “Evenings in Dikanka Village” and prepared a theatrical presentation of folk evenings with showing the best Ukrainian traditions.

In the hall, guests and students were in the atmosphere of various activities: schedrivki, guessing at the groom, singing folk songs, and games and tasting Ukrainian dishes (dumplings, stewed cabbage, pickled cucumbers and tomatoes, pies, homemade sausages, bacon etc.).

The event was opened by the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work O.I. Babichev.

The guests from Podillia came to the holiday.  These were composers and singers brothers Eugen and Vadim Gzegozewski; the ensemble “Cossack tunes” (the city of Severodonetsk), the local accordionist, the dance group “Inspiration”, who congratulated the students, teachers, military, on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The most emotional moment of the holiday became video greetings for soldiers from students from all regions of Ukraine, which were organized on the initiative of the student government of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology. They sent their congratulations to our friends from the Chernihiv Taras Shevchenko State Pedagogical University, and students of different specialties of IPP read each letter a military declaration of love.

For its part, the military also issued a public number. Students are happy to look at their performance. In addition, students of the IPP and military personnel, demonstrating the exercises with weights, showed his strength, courage and endurance.

Mutual congratulations turned in the performance of folk songs with accordion, dance, entertainment.

Thus, the festival “Evenings in the Village of IPP” became a wide field to explore students with culture, art, folk traditions, customs, and that will continue to help shape their attitude and effective activities for the benefit of the future of Ukraine – a free, peaceful and rich. So, today returned from oblivion folk festivals, reviving the richest treasury of spiritual achievements that have come to us from ancient times.
